Major fall initiative underway to build VCS fintech business

Vigilant CEO Rob Kirwin and CTO Geoff Pille have had a very active fall so far, participating in the EY Wave Makers event in Toronto and the IIAC FinTech Summit in Montreal.

It’s been a busy and exciting fall for VigilantCS so far with more developments planned and expected.

In early October, Vigilant CTO Geoff Pille and CEO Rob Kirwin participated in the Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) FinTech Summit in Montreal (right photo). Besides providing a demo of VigilantCS regulatory solutions, Geoff also presented on “RegTech 2018.” Overall, the summit focused on how to trim costs, streamline operations and offer better client value. Rob was appointed a member of the IIAC’s Fintech Working Group in June 2017 and has sat on the OSC’s Fintech Advisory Committee since February 2018.

In late September, Rob and Geoff showcased VCSPro at the EY Wave Makers (left photo), a forum for “connecting disruptors with industry.” The event was held in EY’s Toronto wavespace, which is part of an international network of innovation centres that share “radical breakthroughs in business transformation by tapping into innovative thinking.”

The event participation follows a continuous series of improvements that have included a redesign of the VigilantCS website, its LinkedIn company page, as well as of its Twitter feed, @vigilant_cs.
